WHY SHOULD I WORK WITH BIG SKY NANNY AS OPPOSED TO FINDING A JOB ON MY OWN?

We have been placing caregivers in Montana since 1998. We have built an amazing network of clients and families that come to us looking for qualified caregivers. Our job opportunities are diverse, offer competitive pay, and are not found anywhere else. We have worked as nannies and household managers ourselves, and we understand what it takes to be in your position. We work closely with our nannies and clients to carefully draft a Nanny Employment Agreement that details your job description and benefits package so there are no surprises. After your placement, we offer continued support if you ever have issues or concerns about your employment.

HOW CAN I GET CONNECTED TO OTHER NANNIES THAT WORK WITH BIG SKY NANNY?

‘Like’ us on Facebook to stay up-to-date with all of our current jobs, events, and news! We can put you in touch with other nannies in the area who share the same interests as you and who care for children in the same age group as you do.

WILL THE FAMILY I WORK FOR TAKE TAXES OUT OF MY PAYCHECK?

We encourage all of our families to pay their nannies legally, which means that taxes will be taken out of your paycheck. Nannies are categorized as household employees, not independent contractors. We have partnered with a wonderful household employee payroll and tax service called Breedlove. For more information, visit them online at myhomepay.com

5

AS A NANNY, DO I RECEIVE BENEFITS?

Yes! We know how important benefits are in any professional position, including nanny positions. We assist all families in creating a Nanny Employment Agreement that will outline all the benefits you receive as a household employee. Benefits are negotiable and may include paid vacation, paid sick days, paid holidays, medical benefits, gas/mileage reimbursement, room & board, travel opportunities, and many others!

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO I NEED TO BECOME A NANNY THROUGH YOUR AGENCY?

We place candidates that have professional childcare experience and references to support it. We are looking for candidates that are highly skilled and experienced, balanced, open, flexible, friendly and have a genuine love for children. We are always accepting applications from qualified candidates! Please see our required Qualifications for more information.

WHAT IS YOUR PLACEMENT PROCESS?

The first step is filling out our Nanny application. After review and acceptance, we will contact you to schedule an interview. Upon completion of the in-person interview, we will call the references you included on your application. We will then use your experience, qualifications, and skill set as well as your personality and interests to match you with families we think you would work well with. From there, we help to coordinate interviews with families in their home. We follow up after each interview to see how it went and to discuss any concerns you may have. We help negotiate a verbal offer including salary, schedule and start date. Pending the completion of your references and background checks, we will provide a detailed Nanny Employment Agreement for you to fill out with the family. Once the placement is finalized, we will be available throughout the term of your placement should any questions or concerns arise.
